Q – How long have you been with Adrian Steel?
Gene: 19 years, 3 months and 27 days but who’s counting...
Q – What did you do prior?
Gene: Worked in a fab shop as a welder, fitter and press operator
Q – What are your personal interests? How do you like to spend your free time?
Gene: Hunting, shooting, being outdoors, working on my classic cars and
spending time with family
Q – Family? Kids? Grandkids? Pets?
Gene: My wife and I have three children, Cassidy, 21; Daren, 23 and Michelle,
25 and a granddaughter, Eva, who is five. We also have two dogs, Chris a walker coon hound
and Holy who is a yellow lab.
Q – Where is your favorite place you have traveled? What is your favorite food?
Gene: New Orleans. Any type of seafood and a good steak
Q – Do you cook? Bake? What’s your favorite dish to make?
Gene: Love to grill out in the summer and cook breakfast on weekends
Q – What sports do you follow, if any? Did you play sports? Do you play any sports?
Gene: Football, baseball and motor sports. I played football and baseball
and currently do not play any sports.
Q – What do you enjoy most about being the General Manager of your location?
Gene: The people I get to work with both here and at Adrian Steel. The satisfaction of providing our customers what they need when they need it.
Q – How many do you employ? How do you spend your day?
Gene: Twenty seven employees. My day is split between office and being on the shop floor.
Q – What’s your favorite part of the job? The least favorite part of the job?
Gene: Favorite being out on the shop floor working to improve efficiencies. Least is being stuck in the office tied to a computer or telephone.
Q –Do you watch tv? If so, what?
Gene: Sports, outdoor programs and anything to do with cars
Q – Do you go to the movies? Top five movie picks?
Gene: No, I don’t know that I have any favorite movies.
Q – If you could be anything else besides a General Manager for Adrian Steel, what would you be?
Gene: I would own a restoration shop for classic cars or own a firearms store.
Q – What’s your favorite sound? Your least favorite sound?
Gene: A healthy V8 engine is my favorite and least would be the sound of these import tuner cars that kids drive today.
