Meet Wayne McElreath!  General Manager of AG Van

Q – How long have you been with Adrian Steel?
                Wayne:  Four years

Q – What did you do prior?
                Wayne:  Director of a business unit for a technology company

Q – What are your personal interests?  How do you like to spend your free time?
                Wayne:  All sports.  I spend my time with family and enjoying my son’s sports

Q – Family?  Kids?  Grandkids?  Pets?
                Wayne:  My wife and I have a daughter who is a junior at Texas Tech and a son who is a sophomore in high school who participates in varsity football, basketball and baseball.

Q – Where is your favorite place you have traveled?  What is your favorite food?
                Wayne:  Hawaii.  And I love chicken fried steak.

Q – Do you cook? Bake?  What’s your favorite dish to make?
                Wayne:  just outside grilling

Q – What sports do you follow, if any?  Did you play sports?  Do you play any sports?
                Wayne:  I follow golf, basketball.  I play football and basketball

Q – What do you enjoy most about being the General Manager of your location?
                Wayne:  The challenge of growing the sales and profit, the opportunity to challenge and grow people, the opportunity to build relations with customers and the fact that the job is far from monotonous. 

Q – How many do you employ?  How do you spend your day?
                Wayne:  Twenty five.  I spend my day in vendor meetings, department meetings, conference calls, sales calls, personnel issues, building and property issues, GM, Nissan, Ram, and Ford meetings, tradeshows, business strategy and planning and many tasks associated with relocating our operation.

Q – What’s your favorite part of the job?  The least favorite part of the job?
                Wayne:  The diverse aspects of it, the challenge of having to be prepared for anything.  The least?  n/a (editor note:  good answer, Wayne)

Q –Do you watch tv?  If so, what?
                Wayne:  yes,  sports, reality competition shows

Q – Do you go to the movies?  Top five movie picks?
                Wayne:  Yes!  The Rookie, Remember the Titans, The Blind Side, The Hurt Locker, Tin Cup

Q – If you could be anything else besides a General Manager for Adrian Steel, what would you be?
                Wayne:  Head Coach or Athletic Director

                Wayne:  The ocean as favorite, snoring as least.
