Q – How long have you been with Adrian Steel?
Manuel: since 2001
Q – What did you do prior?
Manuel: Sales and Management in a business that was also automotive related. We provided recreational vehicle conversions
Q – What are your personal interests? How do you like to spend your free time?
Manuel: Sports, riding motorcycles (dirt and street) and relaxing
Q – Family? Kids? Grandkids? Pets?
Manuel: One son, one daughter. My daughter has a cat.
Q – Where is your favorite place you have traveled? What is your favorite food?
Manuel: Alaska. Seafood, lobster, crab and shrimp!
Q – Do you cook? Bake? What’s your favorite dish to make?
Manuel: Only if I am alone – I like to barbecue
Q – What sports do you follow, if any? Did you play sports? Do you play any sports?
Manuel: I follow College Football, Golf, Motocross. I played baseball and football. I now golf, dirt bike and fish.
Q – What do you enjoy most about being the General Manager of your location?
Manuel: The opportunity to see my staff work as a team and individuals being successful.
Q – How many do you employ? How do you spend your day?
Manuel: Thirteen employees. I manage sales staff and also work with technical manager, inventory control manager and shop manager. Two days a week I am on the road selling.
Q – What’s your favorite part of the job? The least favorite part of the job?
Manuel: Our relationship with vendors, customers and employees is the favorite. Least favorite would be surprises that you have no control over.
Q – Do you watch tv? If so, what?
Manuel: Some sporting events
Q – Do you go to the movies? Top five movie picks?
Manuel: Not usually. Some of my favorites are Top Gun, Jeremiah Johnson, Dances With Wolves, Men in Black, Saving Private Ryan. (editor note: Movie passes as a gift to Manuel not a good idea)
Q – If you could be anything else besides a General Manager for Adrian Steel, what would you be?
Manuel: A Teacher/Coach
Q – What’s your favorite sound? Your least favorite sound?
Manuel: A running stream and the wind blowing on Aspen’s trees as favorite. Least would be traffic.
